摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fiber reinforced ceramic based composite material excellent in tensile strength, rigidity to the impact force of a foreign matter and toughness enough to flexibly cope with low cycle thermal fatigue, thermal differential extension load and centrifugal load. SOLUTION: In this fiber reinforced ceramic based composite material, a sliding layer 19 and a reaction suppressing layer 20 are provided on a boundary layer 18 of a ceramic long fiber 15 and a whisker is dispersed in a ceramic matrix body 17. The fiber reinforced ceramics based composite material is produced so that a preliminary formed body is formed by weaving the long fiber 15 into a prescribed shape after the sliding layer 19 and the reaction suppressing layer 20 are formed on the ceramic long fiber 15, a ceramic formed body is formed by impregnating the preliminary formed body with a slurry to which the whisker 16 is added by a pressure casting method and the ceramic matrix body 17 is formed by sintering with reaction under an inert gas atmosphere at a high temp. after molybdenum is added into the ceramic formed body.
