<p>For the prodn. of twisted and texturised yarns, in a single-stage, two filament yarns are twisted together, false twisted followed by thermo-fixing in a heated zone and then cooling. The yarns are then separated for winding. Also claimed is an appts. with yarn guide gates (6) in front of the heated zone (5) to combine the filament yarns (4) from their spindles (1). The false twist is applied by a separation twisting head (8) with a timed operation, having a hollow axis (9) for the entry of the combined yarns (4) and a separation unit (12) part them. At the start of the operation, the head is rotated round the axis (A) by a given number of turns to apply a given number of counter-twists to the yarns (4) between the entry (5a) into the heater (5) and the separation point in the separation twisting head (8). Pref. a number of spindles are deployed for a single heating unit. The yarn guides are set so that the yarns are twisted together in pairs to be passed through the heated zone.</p> |
