PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a rubber roller have sufficient carrying force and prevent carrying force from lowering even if the roller is used for a long period by making values of 10-point average roughness and average peak space of the surface of a rubber roller which comes into contact with paper exist within specified ranges. SOLUTION: An axial body 2 is fitted into the center hole part of a paper feeding roller 1 and a pad 3 is provided so as to be equipped oppositely to the paper feeding roller 1. When the axial body 2 is revolved around a center axis in the direction of an arrow, also the paper feeding roller 1 starts to revolve in the direction by determining the center axis for a revolution center, paper 4 in the vicinity of the paper feeding roller 1 is rolled and this paper 4 passes a gap between the paper feeding roller 1 and the pad 3. A valcanizing molding to a roller shape is performed for a rubber composition by using a metal mold and a rubber roller for paper feeding/ carrying is manufactured. Etching working for surface roughening is performed for the inner peripheral surface of the metal mold and 10-point average roughness and average peak space of the surface of the rubber roller for paper feeding/carrying which is obtained by the valcanizing molding are made to be within the ranges of 3 to 100μm and 15 to 200μm, respectively.
