PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a crack at the time of heating by producing a porous cooking ceramic plate by means of ceramics where a thermal expansion coefficient is a specified value. SOLUTION: The ceramic plate 31 is provided with multiple through holes 32 in a thickness direction in a thickly formed disk-shaped formed body and formed from the ceramics where the thermal expansion coefficient is within the range of (0.5-0.8)×10<-6> / deg.C. The ceramic plate 31 is obtained in such a way that a density in the water slurry of clay where clay as a ceramic material is kneaded with tannic acid is adjusted, it is cast into a forming mold and hardened so as to obtain a disk-shaped semi-plasticized formed object, a semi- product where the multiple holes are formed in the thickness direction is dried and made to be a biscuit and, after that glazing is executed and is fired. In the porous ceramic plate, the thermal expansion coefficient is extremely small compared with that of a natural stone even when long-term heating is executed by the direct fire of a gas burner through the use of a roaster as a grate so that the crack due to thermal expansion difference is prevented in any places of the ceramic plate.
