PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an oil-solubilizing liquid which improves the absorption into the human body by oil-solubilization of plant sterol contg. sitosterol, has improved stability and is useful for decreasing the symptoms of the prostatic hypertrophy, lowering cholesterol, etc., and drinks by adding vitamin E and an emulsifying agent to the plant sterol contg. the sitosterol. SOLUTION: The plant sterol contg. the sitosterol is made soluble in oil by adding the vitamin E and the emulsifying agent to the plant sterol contg. the sitosterol. The content of the vitamin E in the plant sterol oil-solubilizing liquid is >=5wt.% and the content of the emulsifying agent (liquid at ordinary temp.) is >=5wt.%. The oil-solubilizing liquid contg. 15 to 30wt.% plant sterol contg. the oil-solubilized sitosterol is easiest to handle and is widely processed to various kinds of foods. |
