PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent paper retaining suction force from lowering, thereby implementing good paper transportation by a cleaning mechanism comprising pins 5 fitting in pitch of air vents and heater-furnished roller on a drum formed with air vents. SOLUTION: Air suction means for suction from air vents are set on the drum 1, and a print head 3 is also set at the position opposite to the drum 1. Paper 6 is retained on the drum 1 by means of guide rollers 5 and suction means 4. When the drum 1 rotates in the direction of arrow, pins 8 fitting in the pitch of air vents 9 and a cleaning roller 5 furnished with a heater 7 follow and rotate in the direction of arrow while being in engagement with the air vents. By the agency of rotation and heat of the heater 7 installed within the cleaning roller 5, debris 10 such as solid ink solidified in the air vents 9 of the drum 1 is melted to then be excluded outward of the drum 1. |
