PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To assemble an air bag module with a small number of part items and assemble the air bag module stably to a side panel frame by fixing an inflator, and assembling and holding an air bag unit into a recessed part of the side panel frame. SOLUTION: In order to assemble an air bag unit 1 and an inflator 2 fixedly to a side panel frame 3, the air bag unit 1 is assembled into a recessed part 3a, with a pipe member placed on the storage side. Opening parts provided in an air bag cover 12 are positioned in conformity to receiving holes 3b, 3c provided at the upper and lower parts of the recessed part 3a. The inflator 2 is fitted into the receiving hole 3c from the receiving hole 3b, and a bag expansion pressure generating part 2a is insert-placed within the diameter of the pipe member 11 so as to be laid across the end faces of the recessed part 3a. In order to thread-fasten a nut 2c to a screw shaft part 2b of the inflator 2 from the outside, the air bag unit 1 is fixedly assembled into the recessed part 3a of the side panel frame 3. |
