摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the efficiency of reaction and reduce the production cost of a higher fatty acid methyl ester usable as a fuel from a higher fatty acid glyceride constituting waste food oil or other waste oil and fat by automating the production process and continuously producing the compounds. SOLUTION: A higher fatty acid glyceride is mixed with methanol in the presence of an alkali catalyst, the mixture is heated at 40-60 deg.C in a heating tank and passed through a heating tube of the heating tank placed in a high- temperature atmosphere of 40-60 deg.C to effect the transesterification reaction, the reaction product is stored in a separator and separated into glycerol and a higher fatty acid methyl ester, the separated ester is washed with washing water and the purified ester is dehydrated with anhydrous glycerol.</p>
