PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a copolyester elastomer having both excellent stability to thermal oxidation and excellent stability to hydrolysis. SOLUTION: This copolyester elastomer comprises A: a hard segment made up of repeating units derived from an aliphatic diol and an aromatic dicarboxylic acid and B: a soft segment made up of repeating units derived from the following components B1: an aliphatic carbonate and, if desired, up to 60wt.% of B, B2: an aliphatic diol and an aliphatic dicarboxylic acid or B3: a lactone. The hard segment A and soft segment B are bonded through ester bonds to form copolyester units and the copolyester units are mutually connected by an urethane group having the chemical structure represented by [R1 NHCO]p [(p) is 2 or 3; R1 is an alkyl, an aryl or an aralkyl group].
