PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of universal rolling mills and to shorten the length of rolling line and enlarging freedom of layout by stopping rolling in the rolling line on a state of flange in a shape outwardly inclined and then straightening the outward inclination of flange after cooling. SOLUTION: A rolled stock taken out of a heating furnace and formed by a breakdown mill BD is stopped from hot rolling by a rolling mill group consisting of universal rougher U and edger E as it is in a shape of universal roughing with its flange angle inclined, and then is transferred to a cooling bed CB and cooled there. After that, the stock is worked by a straightening machine S, and is completed as H shaped product with its flange angle corrected so as to be vertical to its web. In this way, because there is no finishing process in the rolling line, universal finishing rolling mill becomes needless, and reducing to that extent the number of high priced universal rolling mills and shortening rolling line become available. |
