PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve abrasive performance by a method wherein when a mixture of metals and pellet-shaped abrasive materials is put into a container and the mixture is agitated in the container to polish the medals, materials having at least a polygonal longitudinal section are used as pellet-shaped abrasive materials. SOLUTION: In a medal polishing device, a mixture of medals and pellet- shaped abrasive materials 30 is put into a container and the medals and the abrasive materials are mixed and agitated on a receiving plate which is revolving to polish away the soil of the medals by means of the abrasive materials. In this case, as the pellet-shaped abrasive materials 30, abrasive materials, in which at least a longitudinal section, that is, a plane parallel with the bottom surface of the material is formed into, for example, a star shape or octagonal polygon shape, are used. Thus a plurality of angular ends 34 can be formed on the entire longitudinal side surfaces 32 along generating line portions, that is, the axis of the abrasive material 30, and hence even if the material 30 is fairy large, the medals can be polished surely and efficiently. |
