PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a surface-treated org. pigment improved in dispersibility in plastics and other high-molecular materials. SOLUTION: A pigment compsn. is produced by a process comprising the step of treating 100 pts.wt. org. pigment with about 0.1- about 100 pts.wt. sterically hindered and/or bulky prim. amine, 0 to about 100 pts.wt. surfactant, and about 5- about 15 pts.wt. solvent substantially incapable of dissolving the pigment, thus giving a suspension of a surface-treated org. pigment in a liq., the step of exposing the suspension to a cavitating state, and the step of collecting the resultant pigment compsn. |
