PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent use of a pirated edition cartridge by allowing printing only when a password means is correct by adding the means to the cartridge. SOLUTION: A cover 23 covering a charging part of a cartridge 22 of a video printer 21 is provided, and a reading means 25 of a password means 24 is provided at an inner surface of the cover 23. The means 24 is provided at an end face of the cover 23 side at the time of charging the cartridge 22. Further, a signal read by the means 25 is supplied to a discriminating circuit 26, which decides whether correct means 24 is read or not. Information regarding money thrown from a coin counter 14 is supplied to a main board 30, and whether print is started or not is judged according to introduction of money or other information. Signals from the circuit 26 and the board 30 are supplied to an AND circuit 27. And, a switch 28 of a power circuit supplied from a power board 40 to the printer 21 is controlled ON, OFF by an output of the circuit 27. |
