PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject mixture containing an interpolymer derived from a low mol.wt. olefin or vinyl aromatic compound and an A,B-unsaturated aliphatic acid, and capable of being added to lubricant compositions to impart excellent low temperature characteristics, etc., thereto. SOLUTION: This mixture contains an esterified carboxyl group-containing interpolymer having a reducing specific viscosity(RSV) of about 0.05-2. The esterfied carboxyl group-containing interpolymer is derived from at least two kinds of monomers including (A) a 2-30C aliphatic olefin or vinyl aromatic monomer and (B) anα,β-unsaturated acylating agent (preferably an unsaturated aliphatic acid). The mixture contains at least two of constituents selected from the group consisting of four kinds of specific esters. The esters, especially nitrogen-containing esters, can enhance the dispersibility of other additives and impurities (e.g. soil, water, etc.) in lubricant compositions. |
