PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent clogging in nozzles due to drying of ink when an ink cartridge is to be housed and stored. SOLUTION: A keeping case 22 is a rectangular solid shaped box of which top face is opened and a nozzle cap 26 made of an elastic material is attached to an inner face of one of side plates 22b. An engagement piece 27 is formed on the other side plate 22c such that two cutting grooves 28 in the vertical direction are provided thereon and a finger stopper section 27a as an operation section is formed on the top of the engagement piece 27 such that the top end thereof is bent toward the outside. When the ink cartridge 13 which is in a condition before using or in the way of using is installed to be kept, a part having nozzles 13a is pressed against the nozzle cap 26, thereby covering the nozzles 13a. When the installed ink cartridge 13 is taken out, the finger stopper section 27 is pressed by a finger, then the pressing of the part having the nozzles 13a is released from the nozzle cap 26. |
