PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat transfer recording medium, with which a high quality printing can be realized onto a low smoothness accepting paper and which is excellent in wear resistance, chemical resistance and heat resistance and, at the same time, has a high heat sensitivity. SOLUTION: In a heat transfer recording medium, which is prepared by laminating a peel ply mainly made of wax a colorant-containing ink layer in the order named on a support, the ink layer consists of the colorant, a polyester resin and an additive, which is an organic compound having its molecular weight of 150-400 and ring-like structural portion. The weight average molecular weight of the polyester resin is 5,000-30,000 and its Tg is preferably set to be 20-60 deg.C. |
