FOOD COMPOSITION FOR LIVER DISEASE PATIENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a food compsn. which has decreased side effects, is effectual, is easy to drink or take in and is capable of decreasing the various symptoms of liver disease patients by incorporating a specific ratio of raffinose into the compsn. SOLUTION: The raffinose is incorporated at least at 1wt.% and more preferably 3 to 15wt.% into the compsn. The raffinose-contg. oligosaccharide mixture produced as a soybean oligosaccharide in addition to the raffinose obtd. from beet roots, soybean whey, etc., may be compounded with the compsn. at the weight corresponding to the desired raffinose content.
