PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a duplex type writing implement at low cost which is excellent in portability and ease-of-use property. SOLUTION: A duplex type writing implement is formed of a back barrel and a head barrel to be detachably attached to its front part wherein a plurality of writing bodies, at least one of them is a mechanical pencil, are moved back and forth in the axial direction so as to let its head part in and out from a tip opening of a barrel alternately. Sliding pieces 19a, 19b are arranged opposite to and in contact with each other in the back barrel 1. Between the outer peripheries of the pieces 19a, 19b and the inner periphery of the back barrel 1, grooves 20a, 20b and a guide for guiding the sliding pieces 19a, 19b in the axial direction are provided. A cylindrical cam 6 is formed into a cylindrical shape integrally with the inside of an outer cylindrical part 16, an eraser 13 is fixedly provided in an inner hole of the barrel 10 protruded to the back end of the outer cylindrical part 16 which is fitted in the back of the back barrel 17 in a covering manner, and a protrusion formed on the outer periphery of the cam 6 is engaged with an upper step of the groove punched on the periphery of the peripheral wall at the back of the back barrel. Between the outer periphery of the barrel protruded to the back end of the outer cylindrical part 16 and the inner periphery of a knock cover 14, an engaging part is formed and the knock cover 14 is detachably fixed to the barrel 10. |
