PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slurry temperature control device having high temperature control efficiency in a wire saw which retains the temperature of slurry within a range of allowable temperatures. SOLUTION: A cooling water pipe 23 is arranged in a heat exchanger 19. A flow control valve 24 is provided outside the exchanger 19 and the flow rate or flow speed of cooling water flowing through the pipe 23 is controlled depending on the degree of opening of the valve 24. As a result, the heat exchange capacity of the exchanger 19 can be adjusted. A temperature sensor 25 is provided between the exchanger 19 and a group of slurry feed pipes 13. The sensor 25 senses the temperature of slurry S to output the data relating to the sensing temperature as a sensing signal SG. And a feedback control is conducted on the degree of opening of the valve 24 based on the signal SG in response to a command of a setting device 27.
