MANUFACTURE OF FIBER REINFORCED RESIN COMPOSITE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress 'flow of fibers' by a raw material resin and to enhance the infiltration into a fiber layer with high fiber content (Vf) in a method for producing a fiber reinforced resin composite having lightweight properties, high rigidity and high strength. SOLUTION: A fiber reinforced resin composite is produced by arranging mat-shaped reinforcing fibers 11 and a mat like material 12 having resin flow spaces adjacent to the fibers in a reactive injection mold and compressing the mat like material 12 in a thickness direction by mold clamping. The mat-shaped reinforcing fibers 11 positioned on the surfaces of a molded product are constituted of strands having a circular or oval cross section of which the long diameter/ short diameter ratio is 1.0-1.5 and fibers constituting these strands are composed of long fibers or continuous fibers having a length of 60mm or more.
