PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tough flexible ethylene resin foam having cells uniform in shape and excellent appearance. SOLUTION: This foam is made of an ethylene/3-12Cα-olefin copolymer having a density in the range of 0.880-0.940g/cm<3> , a melt flow rate(MFR) of 0.1-20g/10min at 190 deg.C under a load of 2.16kg and satisfying the relationship: W<89×exp[-100(d-0.88)]+0.1 [wherein W(wt.%) is the content of decane- solubles at room temperature, and d(g/cm<3> ) is the density] when MFR <=10g/10min, and the relationship: W<80×(MFR-9)<0.26>×exp[-100(d-0.88)]+0.1 when MFR>10g/10min and satisfying the relationship: Tm<400×d-250 [wherein Tm ( deg.C) is the temperature at which the maximum peak appears in a thermogram as measured by differential scanning calorimetry DSC].
