The plant has a main hot air flow dryer which is preceded by a worm extruder in which the bulk of the water is expressed. Between the two is a disintegrator in the form of at least one thrower wheel with paddles placed around its rim over which the hot air is fed to the base of the dryer proper. This has a rotary wall scraper for recycling part dried deposits on its walls.
