<p>Underneath the silage attachment is a tubular drawbar (3), positioned longitudinally forward of the wheel axle. This drawbar rotates in two bearings (4, 5), the rear (5) being fixed between two leaf springs mounted transversely across the attachment near and parallel to the axle. Each spring is curved, the top being concave upwards and the bottom being concave downwards. The ends of the springs rest in roller guides on the chassis and the resistance to tilting is adjustable, depending on the type of ground the machine is used on. The front end (7) of the drawbar has a pivot (6) for attaching to the prime mover (8), movement between both units being independent.</p> |
