PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maximize the total storage volume of ink chambers and minimize the installation area occupied by a printing head by a method wherein a plurality of the ink cambers respectively have outlet ports under the condition that at least one chamber crosses orthogonally other chambers and, at the same time, the chambers are adjacent to one another. SOLUTION: A printing head cartridge 10 is equipped with three ink chambers 12A-12C, which respectively have outlet ports and each of which has a length L and a breadth W under the condition that L is larger than W and is nearly rectangular. By combining the chambers 12A-12C with one another, a simple multi-chamber type ink reservoir having a simple outer wall 13 is formed. Further, at least one ink chamber 12A is arranged substantially normal to at least two other chambers 12B and 12C and substantially adjacent to one another. Preferably, all the chambers become adjacent to one another. At least one side face of each chamber comes into contact with or is adjacent to the side wall of another chamber. |
