PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a thic cardboard packet for cigarettes, which has a simple structure and which can be easily handled, by providing a hinged cover doubly superposing the side flaps of both inside and outside and providing an insert tab so as to form sizes and/or geometrical shapes different from the side flaps. SOLUTION: An insertion tab 36 transferring to one insert position of a closing tab or the closed position of a packet is formed at the side wall 21 of a hinged cover 18. The side flap 34 at the outside of the cover 18 has a larger size than the side flap 35 of the inside of the cover 18 in the vertical direction. The side lap 34 of the cover 18 sticks down over the zone of the side flap 33 of the inside or over the opposite edge 40 to form the closing or insertion tab 36. And hence, the lower zone of the side flap 33 of the cover 18 is interposed as an insertion tab 36 between the side flap 33 of the inside and the contents of the packet or the cigarette block 11. |
