PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat sensitive recording material excellent in an image storage stability to oil and plasticizer. SOLUTION: In this heat sensitive recording material, which is prepared by providing a heat sensitive color developing layer on a support, the heat sensitive color developing layer is obtained by accelerating the polymerization reaction of a polymer formable stock in the presence of a polyvalent amine compound under the condition that a dye precursor is dissolved in a solvent made of the polyvalent isocyanate compound-containing polymer formable stock so as to emulsify and disperse the resultant solution in the water so as to include fine composite particles containing a dye precursor compound in a matrix made of polyurea or polyurethane-polyurea resin.
