PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst which can give high nitrile compound yield ratio at the time of producing a nitrile compound by reacting an alkane, ammonia and molecular-state oxygen. SOLUTION: While using as an oxide catalyst having a formula MO12 Bia Xb Ac Od , an alkane, ammonia, and molecular-state oxygen are reacted to produce a nitrite compound. In the formula; X stands for one or more elements selected from nickel, cobalt, and magnesium; A for one or more element selected from lithium, sodium, potassium, etc.; a, b, c, and d for atomic ratio of bismuth, X component, A component, and oxygen, respectively, to molybdenum 12 atoms and a=0.01-2, b=8-12, c=0-2, and d for the number of oxygen atoms satisfying the atomic valance demands of other existing elements; and in the case X includes cobalt, A does not include cesium. |
