<p>Heat sealing the tops of a series of hollow thermoplastic articles (bottles) carried by a conveyor past a pair of heat sealing jaws, using equipment in which a cam is used to index the articles past the heat sealing station while the jaws are operated by pivoted levers activated by teh same cam or its drive shaft and interlocked so that the conveyor cannot advance while the jaws are closed on a component.</p> |
