<p>Article made of oriented polystyrene is made from a polymer sheet, and is then coated with ethoxylated 10-18C aliphatic alcohol, pref. ethoxylated with 2-6 moles ethylene oxide and the density of the layer is 15.10-7 to 15.10-5 g/cm3. This coated polystyrene is used to make lids for containers of heated foods sold in automatic machines and also to make bags for holding food, e.g. meat in supermarkets. The lack of staining renders the food readily visible to the prospective purchaser.</p> |
