PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize frictional resistance between artificial lawn and a support surface during covering operation and peel operation by providing an air pressure generator to generate an air pressure in the margin of a lawn cut piece. SOLUTION: With the progress of covering of a floor 20 with artificial lawn cut piece parts 67, a higher stress is demanded for lifting a heavy a lawn cut piece 67 extending over a rear seal edge 64 and across a floor 20. When friction between the floor 20 and the heavy lawn cut piece 67 is increased to a high value high enough to make it difficult to more pull it by a winch 56, speed control devices 31 and 55 are used to stop the feed of the cut pieces 67. Meanwhile, a duct panel 103 is inserted in the cut piece 67 and connected to a blower 60 through an air transmission duct 104. The blower 60 is operated such that an air pressure between the floor 20 and the cut piece 67 placed thereon is generated, and this operation lifts the cut piece 67 from the floor 20.
