The bicycle wheel has a hub (10) with a flange (12) having numerous through holes in its periphery. Two bowls (11) are moulded onto the two opposite side surfaces of the flange, and there are two round projections (14,16) for the corresponding free ends of the bowls. The wheel has a circular rim (30) with a baseplate which has a hole in the centre, and two thread holes in one side. It has two angled sidewalls, which are formed from an extension of the periphery of each of the thread holes, running tangentially.
