Arylsulfonamides as phospholipase a2 inhibitors

Arylsulfonamides which have the general structure: with the symbols R1, R2, R3, R4, A and n representing the groups and integers provided in the detailed description are provided herein. These compounds have activity as inhibitors of phospholipase A2, inhibitors of cytokine release and as inhibitors of neurodegeneration.
