An insert folder and envelope filler consists of a first track (10) connected to an inlet (1) for postal envelopes and feeding a folding module (11) with two folding pockets (110, 112) and an assembly of folding rollers (120, 122, 124, 126), a second track (20) linked to an inlet (2) for empty envelopes, and a third track (30) connected to an outlet (3) for the filled and closed envelopes. The machine incorporates an additional, fourth track (40) connected to an inlet for inserts and/or reply envelopes and feeding an insertion module (31) through the folding module (11) to allow the insert/reply envelope to be injected into the postal envelope during its final folding stage and before insertion into the empty envelope.
