Method of synchronising/controlling AC voltage-fed converters esp matrix converters, in multi-phase systems

A process for synchronising and/or controlling converters, especially for forming synchronising signals for matrix converters is described. With multiphase and also distorted sinusoidal input voltages, a direct zero-crossing point detection of the instantaneous value of the phase-to-phase voltages takes place using voltage discriminators. After filtering of the same input voltages, equivalent square wave pulse sequences are formed and thereafter using logical summation, gate signals in the region of the zero crossing points. The zero-crossing point signals, the synchronous pulses derived from them and the gate signals are added to the synchronising signals with precise phase assignment.
