The signal processing circuit has a filter and evaluation stage (15) for a measuring signal representing the fluid flow through a measuring pipe (1), for eliminating transients within the measuring signal and providing a measured flow value. The signal processing circuit has an operating mode for measuring a periodically pulsating flow, with provision of a mean value for the measuring signal over the period duration of the flow pulsations, controlled by a pulse detection and trigger circuit (15-21).
