<p>A low-cost interactive water play structure (1') and method are provided wherein an existing dry play structure (1) is retrofitted or converted to incorporate various interactive water play elements (50, 60, 70, 77, 80, 90, 100, 105). Water supply conduits (41) are mounted on or in the support members (19, 20) of the play structure to provide water to one or more water forming elements (50, 60, 70, 77, 80, 90, 100, 105) and associated control valves (42, 53, 63, 72, 78, 83, 91, 102, 109). Play participants activate and/or adjust the various valve actuators (43, 64, 73, 84, 92, 103, 110) and can immediately observe the change in the rate, direction or velocity of water flowing from the various associated water forming elements, allowing play participants to experiment with and learn about various cause-and-effect reactions using a familiar and entertaining play medium.</p> |
