Self-propelled trolley for handicapped driver, for use in libraries

The trolley has a chassis which is supported on at least three wheels, and which has steering equipment and electrical propulsion. The trolley has a seat for the driver which is arranged behind a load platform when in the forwards direction of travel. The trolley also has a rear axle with two rear wheels which can be driven and braked independently from one another, and a front axle with at least one front wheel which can be swung about a vertical axis. The front wheel is suspended so that it can rotate freely about a vertical axis, and the rear wheels are fixed. There is no mechanical connection between the steering equipment and one of the wheels.
