The equipment is used for accessing information from an information service centre (8) via a data channel of the mobil radio telephone network. The information are accessed in response to an entered information request, provided via a push-button input unit (11), associated with a holder for reception of the mobile radio telephone (1). The electronic circuit (3) of the accessory has a GPS receiver (4) for determining the geographical position of the accessory equipment. A control unit (5) selects the information provided by the information service centre which is relevant to the actual geographical position.
