Arrangement for operating and controlling gas-discharge lamps esp high-pressure type in motor vehicle

The arrangement has a single central microcontroller which controls the power of the lamps. The regulation and control signals necessary for the individual controllers of the associated lamps are delivered via a vehicle data bus to the controllers and returned signals are received via the bus. The single microcontroller is located at a central, primary , esp. a master node, in the data bus system. The controllers function as minor nodes, esp. slave nodes, in the data bus system.
