Self-oscillating fluorescent lamp-ballast arrangement

A self-oscillating lamp-ballast arrangement has at least one switching device, an oscillatory circuit that contains a choke and a condenser and with the output coupled to the ballast arrangement, plus a current feedback arrangement which supplies current feedback from the oscillatory circuit to the ballast arrangement. The feedback arrangement has a transformer (30) which has a double E-shaped core with one middle leg and two outer legs. The middle leg has a winding which forms the oscillatory circuit's inductance and one of the outer legs has a secondary winding which corresponds to each switching device. The other outer leg forms a shunt leg.
