<p>A medium high voltage pump system includes a two-phase raw high voltage generator circuit (247) that operates from a low voltage Vdd to output a larger magnitude VPm raw, and a voltage follower (249) whose input lead (2) receives a lower current reference voltage that is at least VPm, whose power lead (1) is coupled to said VPm raw, and whose output lead provides VPm at a current level greater than the reference voltage. The voltage follower preferably being a source follower. The raw generator comprises a plurality of series-connected charge multiplier stages (247-1A through 247-4B) that each includes a MOS transistor and a charging capacitor. One of two non-overlapping phase signals is coupled to the free end of each charging capacitor such that adjacent charging capacitors are driven by different phases, each charging stage preferably having Vt-cancellation and substrate-well protection.</p> |
