The disk player contains a casing and a disk reception for accommodating a disk. The disk reception section is connected with the casing in such way, that it is retractable from the casing through pivoting. The disk reception comprises an interlocking mechanism to retain it in the casing in an inserted condition, and a release unit to release it. There is preferably a hook shaped interfacing arrangement between the disc reception section and the housing, which may include a retaining spring.
