Z=shaped clamping profiles fasten insulating slabs to flat roof

The edges (14,15) of the slabs have notched profiles which can fit together. The edge of the first slab (2) rises vertically from the bottom surface and slopes back towards the interior of the slab at an angle of 45 degrees to the vertical. The edge extends forward in a horizontal plane and rises forming a vertical surface which overhangs the bottom vertical surface. The edge of the second slab rises vertically up to the horizontal part on the first slab and extends horizontally a short distance so that the bottom and top vertical surfaces on the two slabs fit together. A Z-shaped profile rail (7) has a bottom part (18) extending under the bottom of the first slab and a vertical part (13) extending upwards between the two slabs. A reentrant part (2/9) holds down the edge of the first slab and a top horizontal part (11/9) holds down the edge of the second slab.
