A tool holding assembly for supporting a plurality of cutting tools 30 comprises a support member 6 which is adapted to extend longitudinally of the lathe and workpiece axis and on which the tools are mounted, the support member 6 being mounted for transverse feed movement on slides 13 and 15 on the lathe bed 5. The slides 13 and 15 are actuated by levers 18 and 25 respectively which are mounted for pivotal movement with a shaft 19 attached to the bed. The pivoting of the levers effects the feed movement of the slides towards the workpiece axis and thus simultaneous feeding of the tools to the workpiece. Screw means 34, 35 is provided for the individual adjustment of the slides. |
