Stent

The spiral stent (1) comprises a longitudinal wire (3) and is implantable by a catheter (2). The stent takes its spiral form once it is in the implantation position. The stent wire has radial fibres and/or a protruding tissue structure (2) at least partially over its outer circumference. The stent wire is a thermo-memory wire, especially made of Nitinol. The catheter has an inlet valve outside of the body for a cooled physiological saline solution. The catheter also has a stop valve inside the body for preventing the body fluids from entering the catheter. The wire is made of highly elastic material, especially of plastics. The tissue structure is at least partially a textile.
