System and method to process multi-cycle operations

A processing system and method of operation are provided. Processing is initiated of a first instruction to be processed by processing multiple operations through a multiple stage processing pipeline. After initiating processing of the first instruction, processing is initiated of second and third instructions through the pipeline before finishing processing of the multiple operations.
