The coupling nut and the clamp ring have engagement surfaces (22,24) located at the front edge part (26) on the coupling part. The engagement surfaces, on tightening of the coupling nut on the coupling part, press the clamp ring (8) against the outer surface of the pipe end part. - The clamp ring (8) on its front edge part (26) has an inner recess (28) so that the free edge of the clamp ring, at least before tightening of the coupling nut on the coupling part is at a distance from the outer surface of the pipe end part (2). |
