The invention relates to a cutting insert for a tool for fine-machining boring surfaces in work pieces by chip removing. The cutting insert is inserted into a recess worked into the peripheral surface of the tool and is held by at least one clamping claw which interacts with at least one clamping lip, having at least one clamping surface, of the cutting insert. Said cutting insert preferably takes a substantially rectangular shape and has an imaginary central axis (39) which together with the clamping surface (21; 21') forms an acute angle ( alpha ; alpha ').
