Method for manufacturing a tubular knitted article

Tubular fabrics are knitted on a flat bed knitting machine with two opposing needle beds by joining the edges of two component fabrics knitted separately on the two needle beds. The component fabrics are formed on the front and rear needle beds by at least two knitting systems and at least two yarn guides (FF4,FF5). At one of the edges of the fabrics the join is made by crossing the yarns in the yarn guides and at the other edge by an additional edge stitch on the opposing needle bed.
