PRODUCTION OF CATALYST FOR PRODUCING DIMETHYL ETHER AND PRODUCTION OF DIMETHYL ETHER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst for producing dimethyl ether at high yield and a producing method of dimethyl ether at high space yield. SOLUTION: This catalyst is produced by suspending a methanol synthetic catalyst, a methanol dehydration catalyst and a water gas shift catalyst in a solvent so that any difference among the catalysts of A expressed by the equation A=D<2> .(P-S) is <=±1×10<-6> g/cm. Where, D represents the average particle diameter of the catalyst and the unit is cm, P represents the particle density of the catalyst and the unit is g/cm<3> and S represents the density of the solvent and the unit is g/cm<3> . Dimethyl ether is obtained by passing a gaseous mixture containing carbon monoxide and hydrogen or a gaseous mixture further containing carbon dioxide and/or steam therein through the catalyst obtained by the producing method.
